Never say never is a photographic series shot in 2015 during my transatlantic journey aboard a container ship, traveling from Antwerp, Belgium, to Newark, USA. It is an exploration of a personal and intimate space through a different experience of time, space, and distance.

Situated within a liminal space between what is left behind and what is yet to come, between departure and arrival, the Atlantic Ocean crossing became a moment of renewed reflection on identity and belonging.
